Sunday La Liga Round-up: Real Madrid Win From Behind; Barcelona Beat Atletico

Here's the roundup of Sunday's La liga games...
Villarreal 2 - 3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid came from a two-goal down to beat Villarreal 2-3 on Sunday night.

Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo bought Real Madrid back from a two-goal deficit, and Alvaro Morata closed the deal with a late winner as Los Blancos took a 3-2 result against Villarreal to climb back to the top of La Liga.

Manu Trigueros and Cedric Bakambu had Villarreal two goals to the good just after the interval, but Bale's strike on 64 minutes started the comeback, with Ronaldo hitting from the 10 minutes later and Morata heading home the winner in the 83rd.

The victory at the Estadio de la Ceramica over Villarreal, take Real Madrid back to the top of La Liga after Barcelona dramatically moved above them earlier.

Real Madrid still have a game in hand on Barca.

Atletico Madrid 1 - 2 Barcelona

Lionel Messi scored a late winner as Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid.

Rafinha gave Barca the lead when Luis Suarez - who had an effort ruled out - took a shot which ricocheted off two defenders to land at his feet.

Diego Godin levelled when he headed home Koke's free-kick.  But Messi pounced in the 86th minute to win the game for the champions after his initial effort was blocked by defender Stefan Savic.

Atleti, the 2014 champions, are now 10 points off leaders Real.

Espanyol 3 - 0 Osasuna

Espanyol defeated Osasuna 3-0 in a La Liga football match at the Cornella-El Prat stadium.

Felipe Caicedo scored early for the hosts after 17 minutes, although he failed to score a penalty later in 29th minute.

Osasuna played with one man down after Oier Sanjurjo was sent off in the 29th minute following a tough challenge against Gerard Moreno.

Jose Manuel Jurado doubled it for Espanyol in the beginning of the second half, followed by a third goal scored by Gerard Moreno just before the final whistle.

Espanyol are in 8th position, while Osasuna remain in the bottom position with 10 points. The promoted club's only victory so far was at Eibar in October.

Athletic Bilbao 3 - 1 Granada

Athletic Bilbao beat Granada 3-1 at San Mamés Stadium.

Markel Susaeta scored for the home team before Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez equalised. Then goals from Inigo Lekue and Mikel San Jose sealed the win for Bilbao.

Sporting Gijon 1 - 1 Celta Vigo 

Sporting Gijon and Celta Vigo played a 1-1 draw at El Molinón stdaium.

Moi Gomez scored from the penalty spot for Gijon before Iago Aspas equalised for Celta Vigo.
