Atletico Madrid Eyeing Leverkusen Star Kevin Kampl

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kevin Kampl has emerged as a target for Atletico Madrid as Diego Simeone is looking for long-term successors to both club captain Gabi and midfielder Tiago ahead of next season, according to AS.
The 26-year-old has impressed with the Bundesliga side against Atl├ętico Madrid in the Champions League, and the sides will meet again on March 15 in the Spanish capital, where he'll undoubtedly be watched by Atletico's scouts.

The Slovenia international has been a regular starter for Leverkusen this season, making 21 appearances in the Bundesliga and playing all but one games in the Champions League.

The midfielder, who returned to Leverkusen in 2015 after being loaned out to clubs like Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, has a minimum release clause of €11m.
