I Had Disagreements With Zidane When He Joined Real Madrid - Raphael Varane

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has admitted that he has had disputes with manager Zinedine Zidane at Los Blancos.
When the coach was installed in early 2016, it began a period of unrest for the French international that has since settled down with ample first-team opportunities under his countryman.
"Zidane arrived mid-season and had to make some decisions very quickly, and it was not easy for me," remarked Varane to L'Équipe.

"It needed explaining to me. We had disagreements but we were able to speak about them, and now we have a very good relationship.

"[Zidane said:] 'I'll be honest, it's not worth the trouble with me'. He needed me to understand what I had to do to play more, he was very clear, and we started again from a good base so I could earn the trust that was required for me to play."
