Man United Set To Sign Spurs' Eric Dier - Report

English Premier League club Manchester United, want to bring in Tottenham's Eric Dier in what is expected to be a summer of big spending, according to The Sun.
United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly an admirer of the 23-year-old, and could see him as a long-term replacement for Michael Carrick in midfield.

Carrick's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, with his future at the club still uncertain.

Dier – valued at over £40million – has been forced to play at centre-back for Spurs this season, but prefers playing as a holding midfielder.

The Portuguese coach is believed to have the backing of the board to spend, and could prioritize the arrivals of a centre-back, a central midfielder and a striker.
