Reasons Why Arsenal Didn't Sign Chelsea's N'Golo Kante

French football expert Julien Laurens says that Arsenal bailed on a deal to sign N'Golo Kante from Caen as they felt he did not possess the attributes to succeed at the club.
The French midfielder has gone on to become one of the Premier League's most prominent success stories, winning a league title in his first year with Leicester before making the move to Chelsea and spearheading their return to the pinnacle of English football.

The energetic 26-year-old has been touted by many as the finest player in the league and given Arsenal's current woes, Arsene Wenger's decision not to sign him looks more foolish by the week.
Speaking on BBC 5Live, Laurens said:"They looked closely, they went to see him at the French camp - Arsene went to see him a lot. They just didn't think he had enough to make it into their team and then it was too late. "Then they tried to sign him last summer and he decided to go to Chelsea.

"It's a weird one, but again I don't know why bigger clubs weren't there when he was at Caen because it was so obvious [signing Kante]."
