Report: Barcelona Open PSG's Verratti Talks

Barcelona have reportedly opened talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Spanish publication reports that Barca executives and Verratti’s agent Donato Di Campli have met twice – first at Camp Nou, when the Catalans thrashed PSG 6-1, and a second time, during their 0-0 draw with Juventus last week.

The newspaper claims Verratti was "very excited" to hear about the talks and has reportedly "grown tired" of his current club's failure to compete in the Champions League.

However, PSG are not known for selling their best players, and especially not for cheap.

The Catalan giants will presumably have to come up with a bid that's even higher than has been expected before, as the Ligue 1 champions see Barca as direct competitors for the Champions League title each year.
