Barcelona Agree Deal WithSantos' Lucas Lima

Barca have signed Santos midfielder Lucas Lima, according to reports in Brazil.
Barcelona have been linked with a number of big-name players this summer, including Marco Verratti and Philippe Coutinho.

However, the Catalan giants have reportedly slipped one deal under the radar, snapping up Santos midfielder Lucas Lima.

Fox Sports Brazil claim Barca have agreed to sign the 26-year-old on a free transfer once his deal expires in December 2017.

He has reportedly already agreed a pre-contract which will keep him at the Nou Camp for four years and will sign it next month.
Speaking to Fox Sports Radio, reporter Benjamin Back said: "Lucas Lima dos Santos was right with Barcelona.

"He will sign on July 1 - the date that he can sign his pre-contract.

"He leaves for free, because it is the law, six months before he can sign a pre-contract.

"He signs on July 1 and in December, presents himself to Barcelona."
And Back also revealed the deal was orchestrated by Lima's compatriot Neymar who was also snapped up from Santos in 2013.
"It would have been a request from Neymar," he added.

"Lucas Lima has his career now managed by Neymar Pai [Neymar's father].

"So the information I have is this. It's 99.99 per cent because on July 1 he signs with Barcelona."
