Barcelona Reignite Interest In Leicester Star Riyad Mahrez

Barcelona have reignited their interest in wantaway Leicester star Riyad Mahrez who has been valued by the club at £50m.
Spanish outlet Don Balon say the Catalan giants are ready to pounce for the Algerian winger who handed in a transfer request this week.

It is believed the former Le Havre man - who was the PFA Player of the Year in 2015/16 - is desperate to compete for major honours once again, particularly in the Champions League where he excelled for the Foxes this season.

Despite Craig Shakespeare steering the club away from the relegation places in the latter stages of the season, Leicester's poor overall performance following their title win was always likely to prompt some stars to leave.

Mahrez was always going to be the primary candidate for an exit, given his age and pedigree, however, he is tied down to the club until 2020 on a £100k-a-week deal..
