It's For Pep Reunion! Dani Alves Rejects Mega Chelsea Offer To Join Man City

Dani Alves has reportedly turned down a mega offer from Chelsea in favour of joining Manchester City.
The veteran defender is awaiting official confirmation of the termination of his Juventus contract.

He is set for a reunion with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

Alves, now 34, helped Juventus reach the Champions League final last season and still has plenty to offer.

With Guardiola needing to replace Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta, a deal is in place to see Alves arrive. However, Chelsea were also in the hunt for the Brazilian and tabled him a lucrative contract.

But according to Goal, Alves has accepted a two-year deal with City instead, despite Antonio Conte being prepared to pay him more.

It is said the attacking right-back will earn £4.4million a season at City.

Chelsea, though, were willing to hand him a cool £6.15m a season.

The deal at Stamford Bridge was also for two years, meaning Alves has opted for Pep Guardiola over the English Premier League title champions.
