Liverpool Battle Chelsea Over Koulibaly'

Liverpool have tabled a lucrative bid for long-time Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly, according to a report by The Sport Review.
Jurgen Klopp has been consistently linked with a move for Southampton's Virgil van Dijk, but following allegations of "tapping up" the Merseyside club were legally obliged to cool their interest in the Dutchman.

However, it appears that with a deal for Van Dijk looking increasingly unlikely Koulibaly is Klopp's plan B.

Though Chelsea have been repeatedly linked with the Senegal international and are known to be keen admirers, Liverpool now look set to spoil the party.

According to reports, Klopp has had a £36.7m bid rejected by Napoli, but may consider another approach.
