Marco Verratti Rejects PSG Huge Deal Worth Over £8m Per Year

Marco Verratti has reportedly rejected a contract worth over £8million a year from his club Paris Saint-Germain as he looks to force a transfer to Barcelona.
Verratti took a break from his holiday to travel to Paris to meet with PSG's owners, who reportedly offered him a juicy new wage rise which would see him earn about over £8million a season, according to Mediaset.

The Italy international, who's said to be Barca's top target this summer, listened to PSG's offer, but reportedly reiterated his desire to leave the French club and to sign for the Catalan side.

Verratti met with the president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the sporting director Antero Henrique and both clarified that even if he decides not to agree with the new terms, he still has a contract until 2021 and will not be allowed to leave.

Chelsea have also been linked with an interest in the £88million-rated Italy international this summer, but recent reports claimed he’d agreed personal terms on a move to Barca.
