Pepe Confirms Real Madrid Exit This Summer

PSG are said to be interested in him!
Portugal defender Pepe confirmed he was leaving Real Madrid, but insisted he was yet to agree to a deal with Paris Saint-Germain as he revealed interest from England.

Pepe, 34, is out of contract at the end of the month and wanted a two-year deal at Madrid.

But, after being offered just a one-year extension, the Portuguese international has decided to move on from the club he joined from Porto in 2007 in a £25million deal after making 334 appearances.
"It is clear that I will not continue at Real Madrid," he told Cadena COPE.

"One stage is over and, from now on, another one will start."
He added: “I didn’t say goodbye to Zidane because Zidane and Real Madrid knew I was going before I did."
The defender had inspired Madrid to three La Liga titles, three Champions League crowns, two Copa del Reys and two Club World Cups.

However, injuries saw him make just 18 appearances for the club in all competitions this past season.
