Super Eagles To Return To Nigeria Today

The Super Eagles will land in Abuja today after two friendly games in France over the last week.
Following their 3-0 triumph of the Hawks of Togo in an international friendly on Thursday, the Super Eagles will fly into Abuja aboard an Air France flight this afternoon, it has been confirmed.

The team has been in France for the past week, where they have played two international friendlies against Corsica and Togo – and will now return to Nigeria ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

But it remains unclear if they will have any training session in Abuja, before leaving for Uyo.

Some more players are expected to join the team as they travel to Uyo, as not all of the invited ones were in France with the team.

The likes of Moroof Youssef from Zamalek, Turkey-based pair of Ogenyi Onazi and Kenneth Omeruo, South Africa-based goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi and John Ogu – who is already on holidays in Nigeria – are all expected to join up.

Libya and Seychelles are the other teams in their qualifying group with only the group winners automatically advancing to the tournament final.
