Arsenal Close In On Deal For Lyon Player Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the BBC.
The Gunners saw their bid get rejected by the French side, but talks have progressed and will continue over the next couple of days.

The 26-year-old is expected to move to the Emirates for a club-record fee, surpassing the N20 billion (€50m, £44m) they paid to Real Madrid for Mesut Ozil back in 2013.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have not yet received any bids for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, but he may be allowed to leave for the right price.

The Chilean attacker says he is clear about his future but is keeping his cards close to his chest as he chatted to reporters before the Confederations Cup final this Sunday, where Chile face Germany in Saint Petersburg.

Sanchez only has a year left on his contract and Arsenal still hope he signs a new deal.
