Arsenal To Sign Lyon Striker Lacazette For Club-Record N18B

Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has confirmed to the French press that they will sell Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Le Progr├Ęs, he confirmed that the move will be done in the next days.
"The N24.6 billion figure (€67m figure) (including N4b (€12m) in bonuses) announced by English sources and then relayed constitute an impossible sum that is not realistic," he said.

"The first offer made by Arsenal was N16.6 billion (€45m). The deal will happen for something between N16.6 billion and N18 billion (€50m).

"We will without a doubt hit a record, it is not a small transfer, N18 billion for a player who was produced by our club," Aulas spoke proudly.
Lacazette scored 37 goals in 45 appearances last season and will give Arsenal’s frontline a major boost.

But his arrival could mean the end for Olivier Giroud at the Emirates.

The striker, 30, has been linked with Everton, West Ham and Marseille.

It may also see Arsenal cool their interest in Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.
