AS Roma Set To Sign Leicester Star Riyad Mahrez

AS Roma are working on a deal to bring wantaway Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez to the club, according to the Italian press - with last season's Serie A runners up holding talks with the Algerian's agent.
The 2015/16 Premier League winner has made it very clear to the club that he wants to leave the King Power Stadium this summer, and is adamant that he leaves the Midlands before the current transfer window closes - being strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.

However, that speculation seems to have cooled lately, and now Italian newspaper Leggo claims that Roma are in for the Algerian winger - despite the club's owner not knowing who he is.

Leggo state that Roma have met with Mahrez's agent and despite Leicester demanding N20 billion (£48m) for their man, the Serie A outfit believe they can lower that number to around N14.63-16.7b (£35-40m) due to the 26-year-old's desire to leave.

Club owner James Pallotta has come under great fire in the Italian capital for the sale of Mohamed Salah to Liverpool, and is said to be determined to replace the Egyptian adequately, placing his faith in club director Monchi.
