2018 WC Qualifier: Nigeria Held By Cameroon In Yaounde

The Super Eagles thrashed the Indomitable Lions 4-0 in Uyo on Friday
Nigeria missed the opportunity to all but confirm a spot at next year's World Cup as they stumbled to a draw against Cameroon

The Eagles took the lead in the first half through Moses Simon before Vincent Aboubakar equalised from the penalty spot in the second half.

With the draw, the Eagles are up to 10 points, six ahead of Zambia in second, with Cameroon on three points and Algeria in bottom spot with just one.

The Chipolopolo could put pressure on the Super Eagles with a win away in Constantine against the Fennecs on Tuesday, with the two sides set to meet in a potentially decisive showdown in Uyo in early October.
