Leicester City Miss Out On Silva After Papers Arrived 14 Seconds Late

FIFA has rejected Leicester City's request to register midfielder Adrien Silva after the Foxes missed the deadline by just 14 seconds.
The club signed the midfielder from Sporting Lisbon for a £22m fee, but parts of the deal were finalised near the end of the transfer window on 31 August.

The Portugal international's registration was completed 14 seconds after the deadline, meaning he won't be allowed to play until January.

Leicester are planning to appeal against the decision by FIFA, and the FA are looking to help Leicester with its case.
