Liverpool's Mane,Huddersfield Town Boss Wagner Scoop EPL Awards

Mana and Wanger named English Premier League Player and Manager of the month, respectively
Liverpool's Sadio Mané has been named Premier League Player of the Month August. The Senegal international scored three goals for Jurgen Klopp's side in four Premier League games.

Weirdly enough, he was not named Liverpool Player of the Month.
That honour has gone to signing Mohamed Salah, who scored twice in the Premier League and also netted in the Champions League.
"I want to say thanks to all of my teammates because without them I am nothing," Mane said after wining the award.

"I am happy with my start to the season. Everyone loves to score goals for their team, and it gives me more confidence."

Mane picks up the award having fended off competition from Manchester United trio of Phil Jones, Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata, Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Jonas Lossl and Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah

Liverpool are currently second in the league and will visit Manchester City on Saturday.

Also, Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner won the Manager of the Month award after a fine start to life in the top flight.
David Wagner Huddersfield Town Manager of the month
It's been a fairytale start for Huddersfield and their boss David Wagner, who has won Manager of the Month
Promoted Huddersfield were 3-0 winners at Crystal Palace on the opening day and followed that result up with 1-0 victory at home to Newcastle United.

A third consecutive clean sheet followed in a 0-0 draw against Southampton to leave Huddersfield third heading into the international break.
That was enough for Wagner to pick up the first managerial prize of the season and he dedicated the honour to his players.
"It's an honour for me to take this award and I'd like to take this award for the whole club - especially my players," he said.

"They brought the results. "I hoped that we would start well, but I did not expect it. We are happy that we have started well but now we have to be focused."
