Saturday EPL Roundup: Man City Thrash Watford; Spurs, Leicester & Liverpool All Draw

Here's the roundup of today's English Premier League fixtures...
Watford 0 - 6 Manchester City

Manchester City beat Watford 6-0 at Vicarage Road.

Sergio Aguero scored a hat trick, while goals from Gabriel Jesus, Nicolas Otamendi and Raheem Sterling put plenty of gloss on the scoreline after another scintillating display from Pep Guardiola‘s boys.

With the win City move on to 13 points for the season, while Watford remain on eight points.
Tottenham Hotspur 0 - 0 Swansea City

Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianski helped stymy dominant Tottenham Hotspur in a scoreless draw at Wembely Stadium.

Tottenham sits fifth with eight points, while Swans move to 14th with five.

Spurs remain winless in league play at Wembley.

Huddersfield Town 1 - 1 Leicester City

Huddersfield Town and Leicester City played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the John Smith’s Stadium with Laurent Depoitre and Jamie Vardy grabbing a goal each.

The Terriers took the lead through Lepoitre’s first EPLgoal but Vardy equalised from the penalty spot soon after and the England international somehow missed a glorious opportunity to give Leicester the lead from less than three yards out.

Elias Kachinga also had a goal controversially disallowed for Huddersfield as the offside flag went up.

The point moves Huddersfield onto eight for the season, while Leicester have four points.

Liverpool 1 - 1 Burnley

Canadian national teamer Scott Arfield put Burnley ahead, and a Mohamed Salah goal was all Liverpool could muster in a disappointing 1-1 draw with the Clarets at Anfield.

Liverpool sits eightth with eight points, while Burnley is seventh with a one-goal advantage in goal differential.

Newcastle United 2 - 1 Stoke City

Jamaal Lascelles scored late and Christian Atsu nabbed his first EPL goal as Newcastle United held off Stoke City to win its third-straight with a 2-1 decision at St. James Park.

Xherdan Shaqiri scored for Stoke, and was the center of attention for much of the match.

Newcastle rises fourth for the time being with nine points, while Stoke sits 13th with five points.

West Bromwich Albion 0 - 0 West Ham United

Gareth Barry tied Ryan Giggs’ record for most English Premier League appearances with 632, a figure about 631 digits higher than the amount of entertaining chances in Saturday's 0-0 draw against West Ham at The Hawthorns.

The 36-year-old also became the first player to start 600 Premier League games.

West Brom sits tenth with eight points from five matches, while West Ham’s fourth point has it sitting 18th.

Crystal Palace 0 - 1 Southampton

Crystal Palace became the first club in top-flight history to lose their opening five games without scoring as Roy Hodgson's first match as manager ended in defeat by Southampton.... [Read more here ]
