Arsenal Women's Samuelsson To Miss Everton Clash With Muscle Injury

Jessica Samuelsson suffered a ruptured muscle in her foot while on international duty but the full-back is hoping to make a quick return to action.
Samuelsson picked up the injury towards the end of Sweden’s 5-0 win over Hungary in the World Cup qualifiers after she landed badly.

Thankfully, two x-rays revealed that the player had not suffered a broken foot as first feared. Samuelsson told Norrk√∂ping’s newspapers:
“I’ve got a rupture in a muscle in my foot.”
In another interview with Radio Sports, the 25-year-old, added:
“We’ll probably start working with rehab right tomorrow and then we’ll see how the foot reacts. But, because it is a muscle injury, it should go quite fast. Hopefully, I can start playing again in a week or so.”
Samuelsson joined Arsenal in the summer, moving from Linkopings FC

Arsenal will have to do without her services when they travel to the Select Security Stadium on Sunday to face Everton in the English Women's league.
