Barcelona has officially announced that Andres Iniesta has signed a lifetime contract for the club.

Iniesta has started at La Masia, the Barcelona youth academy, at the age of twelve, debuted in 2002 for Blaugrana and hasn't left Nou Camp since.
"Barcelona and Andres Iniesta have reached an agreement over a lifetime contract in a deal that will keep him at the club for the rest of his career," a statement read.
The Barca board has rewarded him for his loyalty and outstanding career and have offered him a contract which keeps him at the club for life.

He made his first-team debut in October 2002 and has won eight Spanish league titles and four Champions Leagues.

Iniesta has captained the side since 2015 and shares the record with Argentina forward Lionel Messi for the most titles, 30, in Barcelona history.

He has won the European Championship twice with Spain and scored the extra-time winner in the 2010 World Cup final against the Netherlands in South Africa.

The Spanish midfielder has signed today and that makes him part of the future of the club.
