Cavani Stole The Show In Neymar’s Absence As PSG Beat Nice 3-1

Paris Saint-Germain maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they saw off Nice in an impressive 3-0 win, widening the gap between them and 2nd-placed Monaco to seven points.
The absence of summer signing Neymar had many wondering at how exactly the Parisians would fare but in Edinson Cavani, they had a man with more than enough talent to fill the gap.

A lot has been made about the dynamic between both players since the Brazilian made his switch from Barcelona a few months back but after his red card against Marseille last week, Neymar’s absence didn’t seem to cause PSG too many problems and for Cavani, instead it allowed him to make an emphatic statement about his standing as one of the world’s very best.

An own-goal from former-Bayern centre-back Dante brought Paris St-Germain’s tally to three but it was Cavani who stole the show – adding to his tally with two clinical finishes.
