FIFA Fines Zambia Over N2M For Crowd Trouble

The World governing body FIFA has slammed Zambia with a fine of 2 million naira...
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has fined Zambia 7000.00 Swiss Francs (N2.5m) in addition to a warning after fans threw objects during the 2018 World Cup qualifier with Algeria played at the National Heroes Stadium on 2nd September, 2017.

According to FIFA,COM: "Zambia has been charged and warned “for improper conduct among spectators (throwing objects [bottles]) as per articles 65 and 67 of the FDC FIFA Stadium Safety and Security Regulations.”
Zambia defeated Algeria 3-1 at the Heroes stadium before winning the return leg in Algeria 1-0 to keep the Chipolopolo in the running for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

They face Nigeria next in a do or die encounter in Uyo on Saturday 7 October 2017.
