Mascherano To Retire From Argentina After WC

Argentina managed secure a place for the 2018 World Cup by a heroic performance of Lionel Messi.
This tournament will be the last international adventure of Javier Mascherano.
The Argentine Barca player told TyC Sports: "My cycle in the national team finishes in Russia. I have been clear that it will be my final point."
The 33-year-old hopes he will be part of the World Cup squad.
"The decisions are taken by the coach and he will decide if I am in Russia or not. I will try in these six or seven months to prepare to be able to be. Sampaoli will decide,"  he added
Mascherano has won 139 caps, which is just four under the national record of Javier Zanetti.
