Barca Board & Coaches Split Over Bid For Arsenal's Ozil

Barcelona's board is split over their planned move for Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Ozil's current deal at the Emirates expires at the end of the season, meaning that the club could be tempted to cash in on him in January, rather than see him leave for nothing in the summer.

Sport says €20m (£17m, N8bn) should be enough to land the 29-year-old, but senior figures within the club are split on whether to move for the former Real Madrid man.

There are said to be fears that Ozil may not adapt to the Nou Camp dressing room amid concerns over his social life.

It is also claimed that certain coaches at the club feel the Catalans should be signing younger players who will have more of a future at the club.
