Bayern's Thiago Facing Months On Sidelines

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara has sustained a ‘serious muscle injury’ and is set for a lengthy period of recovery, according to coach Jupp Heynckes and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.
The Spain international had to leave the stadium on crutches after picking up the injury during Bayern's 2-1 away victory over Anderlecht on Wednesday.

Head coach Jupp Heynckes said at the post-match press conference:
“I think Thiago has a serious muscle injury.”
While director of sport Hasan Salihamidzic told reporters he expects the 26-year-old “to be missing for several months.”
And Bayern announced via their official website that: "The Spain international has partially torn a thigh muscle and will be ruled out for a long time."
