EPL Round-up: Sterling Saves Man City; Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool See Wins As Rooney Nets Hat Trick

Here's the round-up of today's English Premier League games...
Manchester City 2 - 1 Southampton

Oriol Romeu‘s second half equaliser stunned the Etihad Stadium, but Raheem Sterling scored in the final minute of stoppage to give Man City a 2-1 win over Southampton on Wednesday night.

Saints threatened to end Man City’s win streak, with Romeu’s equaliser briefly moving past Kevin De Bruyne‘s deflected second half free kick broke the stalemate.

But Sterling's 96th-minute winner sank Southampton to give City a club-record 12th-successive English Premier League victory which restores their eight-point lead at the top of the table.

Saints stay 11th on 16 points.

Chelsea 1 - 0 Swansea City

Chelsea beat Swansea City 1-0 at Stamford Bridge with Antonio Conte sent to the stands just before half time but his team got the job done on the pitch.

Antonio Rudiger headed home the only goal of the game in the second half as the Blues wasted several chances and Lukasz Fabianski made several fantastic saves for a woeful Swans outfit.

The win keeps Chelsea three points behind second-place United and they’re on 29 points, while Swansea remain second bottom in the table.

Arsenal 5 - 0 Huddersfield Town

Arsenal beat Huddersfield Town 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium with the Gunners scoring four times in the second half to blow the Terriers away.

Alexandre Lacazette gave Arsenal the lead in the first half, then Mesut Ozil set up Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez to score before scoring the fourth himself.

Giroud, on as a half time sub, added his second and Arsenal’s fifth late on to seal the emphatic win.

With the win Arsenal stay in fourth place on 28 points ahead of their massive game against Man United, while Huddersfield stay 14th on 15 points.

Stoke City 0 - 3 Liverpool

Liverpool moved into fifth place in the EPL after a contentious 3-0 win over Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.

Sadio Mane had it 1-0 at the half, and Mohamed Salah scored twice in the second half for the Reds, who move to 26 points.

Stoke drops to 16th, and sits just three points above the drop zone.

Everton 4 - 0 West Ham United

Sam Allardyce is taking over the EPL’s 13th place team after a Wayne Rooney hat trick led Everton to a 4-0 win over West Ham United at Goodison Park.

Rooney’s third goal pretty well came from inside his own half, a bullet.

Ashley Williams added a fourth late in the match.

Manuel Lanzini missed a penalty as West Ham remains in 18th place with 10 points.

AFC Bournemouth 1 - 2 Burnley

Burnley grabbed yet another away win as their record-breaking start to the EPL season continued.

The Clarets beat Bournemouth 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium with goals from Chris Wood and Robbie Brady in either half doing the damage.

Josh King pulled one back for Bournemouth but the Clarets held on to secure another superb win as they rose above Tottenham Hotspur and into sixth place, with the Cherries slipping to 15th place.
