Real Madrid's Carvajal Faces UEFA Probe For Forcing A Deliberate Yellow Against APOEL

UEFA have confirmed disciplinary proceedings against Real Madrid defender after he managed to produce one of the most deliberate yellow cards we've ever seen.
Carvajal received the yellow after it took him at least 20 seconds, if not longer, to take a throw-in against APOEL Nicosia on Tuesday night.

Marca says UEFA are to look into the yellow card handed to Dani Carvajal against APOEL Nicosia on Tuesday night although Real Madrid are confident that they'll escape further punishment.

With the right-back one booking away from a ban, he wasted time over a throw-in which he ensured he will serve the suspension in the dead rubber versus Borussia Dortmund, rather than in the knockout rounds.

While the referee's report has not given any further evidence regarding the incident, UEFA are to investigate, with a possible ban coming Carvajal's way.
