Super Eagles Get N17.3M For Beating Argentina In Friendly

The Super Eagles of Nigeria received a whopping N17.3 million for beating Argentina 4-2 in Tuesday international friendly played in Russia.
Nigerian newspaper Sportinglife reports that the players received $2,000 (N17.3m) each for the win as that is the flat rate agreed for the team as match bonus in friendly games.

According to the reports the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) are already considering organising more high profile international friendly games before the World Cup in Russia to boost their financial powers.

In a related development, the NFF have also forwarded the World Cup bonus agreement they had with players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN). ‎

The move is to notify the Government of their plans to ensure that the perennial ‎row over bonus which has distracted the team during major competitions in time past does not happen again in Russia next year.
