Arsenal, Man City To Battle Over West Brom's Evans

West Bromwich Albion centre-back Jonny Evans will be the target of Arsenal and Manchester City in next January's transfer window.
The Telegraph reports that Evans already attracted the interest of City last summer, but a N14 billion (30 million pounds) offer wasn't enough for West Brom.

Now that John Stones has sustained a hamstring injury, the Citizens are likely to return for the former United defender.

It is also said that Arsenal had offered the Baggies N10bn (21 million pounds) on deadline day of last summer's transfer window.

With Per Mertesacker retiring at the end of the season, Arsène Wenger is looking to give his defence a boost coming January.

West Bromwich Albion are considering to sell Evans, in order to raise the funs of new manager Alan Pardew.
