Juve Striker Rejects Move To China

Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune are interested in signing Mario Mandzukic from Juventus in January, according to Goal.com.
But the Croatia international has turned down the move to China.

The striker, who was the subject of a bid from other Chinese clubs, did reject moves to Beijing Guoan, Tianjin Quanjian and Shanghai Shenhua and has now rejected a move to Hebei Fortune, despite being offered a two-year contract worth 15 million euros (6 billion naira) per season. Manuel Pellegrini, the Hebei boss, wants him

Coached by former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini, Fortune already boast former Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi and former Roma and Arsenal attacker Gervinho in their squad and are hoping to push for the league title after this year's fourth-place finish.

Fortune have approached Mandzukic through intermediaries but, despite the money they have to offer, the former Bayern Munich forward has no interest in making the switch.

The 31-year-old, who joined Juve from Atletico Madrid in 2015, is highly rated by coach Massimiliano Allegri and is contracted to the Italian champions until 2020.
