Man United's Lukaku Refuses To Rush New Boot Deal

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku refuses to rush into a new boot deal.
The Sun says Lukaku is holding out for £1.5m (N685.9m)-a-year to sign with a leading boot manufacturer.

The Belgian striker has been playing with plain black studs on this season, while he waits to pen a contract.

United boss Jose Mourinho even joked the 24-year-old needed to get a commercial partner sorted, to start scoring again.

And Lukaku has been in talks with leading makes Nike, Adidas and Puma over a long-term deal.
An Old Trafford source said: "Romelu wants a hefty sum every year to sign with one of the top brands around.

"He believes the commercial landscape has changed for him since he made the summer move to the club.

"He has been alternating between Nike and Adidas for a good while now. He used blacked out Nike ones the other night.

"Talks have already begun with his representatives and their partners, but it is his decision at the end of the day."
