Chelsea's Courtois Close To Signing New Deal That Will Make Him Best-Paid Goalie

Thibaut Courtois could become the best-paid goalkeeper in the world if he signs a new deal with Chelsea.
The Belgian goalie admitted that he is close to signing a new contract for The Blues.

The Telegraph reports that Chelsea's offer is higher than what David de Gea currently earns at Manchester United.

Courtois' new deal concerns a weekly salary of £200,000 (N95m) and would keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2023.

Courtois will be out of contract next year on his current £100,000 (N47.7m)-a-week deal but Real Madrid’s interest in Kepa Arrizabalaga has eased the pressure on Chelsea and the Belgian is now likely to extend his contract during the current transfer window.
