Everton Set To Seal N9bn Arsenal's Walcott Deal

Everton have made progress in their attempt to sign Theo Walcott and are hopeful of completing a 20 million pounds (9 billion naira) deal for the Arsenal winger this week, according to The Guardian.
Sam Allardyce confirmed his interest in the 28-year-old on Friday and Everton are in competition with Southampton, Walcott's former club, for the former England international's signature.

Negotiations between Everton and Walcott's representatives have since advanced and Goodison Park now appears the likely destination for the player after 12 years at Arsenal.

The winger has 18 months remaining on a contract at the Emirates Stadium but personal terms and the £20m fee have not deterred the Merseyside club.
