Man United Goalie De Gea Favourite To Join Real Madrid - Report

Real Madrid seemed to be close to signing Kepa Arrizabalaga, but the goalkeeper surprisingly renewed his deal with Athletic Bilbao last week.
This means that instead of signing him as a free agent in the summer, the Madrilen club now have to activate his €80 million (N34.9bn) release clause.

Marca claims that Los Blancos are still considering the goalie of Athletic Bilbao, but that he is no longer their main target in the summer.

The Spanish newspaper understands that Zinedine Zidane believes that their current goalkeeper Keylor Navas has improved and that a longer stay at the Spanish capital is realistic.

If Madrid do decide to sign a new goalie, then David de Gea from Manchester United and Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea are preferred over Kepa, as they have the same price tag as him, but are certainly more experienced than the 23-year-old.
