Man United To Charge Sevilla Fans Extra N42K UCL Clash

Manchester United have struck back in their ticket war with Sevilla.
The Spanish club sparked fury when they announced that they would be charging travelling supporters £89 (42 thousand naira) UEFA Champions League clash next month.

Now, Sportsmail reports that United have responded by deciding to charge Sevilla fans the exact same amount for the return clash at Old Trafford.

And they will use proceeds from those ticket sales to refund £35 (N16,695) to their own supporters who have bought tickets for the first leg at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on 21 February.

Any additional revenue generated will go the Manchester United Foundation, the club’s charity arm.

Sevilla were accused of setting ‘exorbitant’ prices last month when it emerged they would be charging United fans a staggering £89 (N42,000) – with a small number of tickets at £133 (N63,443) for the last-16 fixture.
