Van Persie Returns To Boyhood Club Feyenoord

Robin van Persie has completed a return to boyhood club Feyenoord - 14 years after leaving Holland to join Arsenal.

The Dutch striker began his career at the club, coming through their academy, before going on to score 226 goals at Arsenal, Manchester United and Fenerbahce.

But he was back on Monday, putting pen to paper on a deal after Fenerbah├že agreed to let him leave on a free transfer this month.
The veteran striker signed his contract on Monday and will wear his original shirt number - 32

After falling out of favour in Turkey, Van Persie agreed a move back home on Friday and he arrived to complete the deal on Monday.

In a sentimental touch, Van Persie will wear the No 32 this season, returning to his first ever number when he made his debut back in 2002.
