EPL Player In Hot Seat For Mimicking Porn Website Logo

Swansea City player Sam Clucas has been forced to apologise for mimicking a logo of a pornographic website, after a scoring against Arsenal on Wednesday.
The former Hull City midfielder scored twice in the 3-1 win over Arsenal and each time celebrated by putting his hand to his right eye and referencing the spy symbol logo of a British pornographic website.

Clucas' Welsh club has released a statement, saying it was not aware of the website apologising for any offence caused.
"As a club we were unaware of any links to the internet group in question and disappointed to learn of the association as it does not reflect the values of Swansea City nor our strong commitment to equality," the English Premier League club stated.

"We wholeheartedly condemn the degradation of women and believe everyone's rights, dignity and individual worth is to be respected.
"Having spoken to Sam, he was not fully aware of the pornographic sections of this internet group and at no time intended to cause offence which he apologises for.

"The club will speak to Sam again internally to establish the full facts, while also taking the opportunity to remind everyone of their responsibilities."
An English FA spokesman told the BBC that they were looking into the matter, while the Premier League added:
"We would not want offensive material referenced in our competition in any way."
Clucas is not the only player caught up in the celebration probe as the same gesture was made by Southampton's Charlie Austin and teammate Jack Stephens in December.
