La Liga: Real Madrid Come From Behind To Beat Leganes 3-1, Go Third

Madrid has won four in a row, including 3-1 against Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League last week.
Skipper Sergio Ramos scored a late penalty as Real Madrid came from behind to win 3-1 at Leganes and ease themselves into third place in La Liga.

But it was holding midfielder Casemiro who shone after being handed a more progressive role in the absence of several of Zinedine Zidane's big names with Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Marcelo among those missing.

Gareth Bale was included only among the substitutes, and there was also a seat on the bench for the first time for the manager's son Luca.

The hosts took a surprise lead when Unai Bustinza scrambled in, but the visitors quickly equalised through Lucas Vasquez.

Casemiro then put Zinedine Zidane's side ahead before Ramos converted a late penalty.

Real, who have now scored 16 goals in their last four games, still trails leader Barcelona by 14 points after 24 matches. But Madrid is seven points behind second-place Atletico Madrid.

Leganes had knocked Real out of the Copa del Rey earlier this season.
