Bognor Regis stopper Dan Lincoln posted the shocking image of his beaten up back after Staurday's clash.
And he blasted officials for not offering him enough protection during the game, which was stopped for more than 30 minutes while he got medical attention.
"Just being released from Hospital now," he blasted on Twitter.
"Feeling a little worse for wear, but thankfully no serious or long lasting damage.
"Just a few fresh battle wounds... Nothing like a bit of protection from the officials.. #sarcasm #uptherocks."
Town lost 2-0 at home to Truro City in the England's National League South match and it was while trying to prevent the second goal after a challenging for a low cross that Lincoln had studs dragged across his back.Just being released from Hospital now. Stewards and club medics rushed to Lincoln's aid but it was not until an ambulance arrived at the West Sussex ground that he was placed on a spinal board and taken to hospital.
Lincoln posted another photo last night giving a thumbs-up and vowing to return as quickly as possible.
It’s gunna be a tough old week recovering to get back in Yellow for Saturday, but I’m always up for a challenge!! I’d like to thank everyone involved in looking after me and attending to me ON and OFF the pitch.
