The stage is set for the North London derby as Spurs and Arsenal battle it out on Saturday following their impressive displays of late.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 10 February 2018
Kick-Off at 13:30 - Nigerian Time
Venue: Wembley Stadium (London).
Arsenal know anything less than a win at Wembley today will put a serious dent in their UEFA Champions League qualification hopes, so they will do everything within their power to emerge victorious this afternoon.

Tottenham have collected four points from last two league ties. The Gunners, on the other hand, head into this on the back for a demolishing 5-1 victory over Everton with new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring a goal on his debut at Emirates Stadium.

Harry Kane has been just phenomenal so far in the season and he is expected to continue his fine spell of form against the Gunners. The English striker has notched seven goals in last six appearances for the Spurs.

Arsenal have improved their attacking options, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan superb new signings - who wasted little time proving themselves with impressive full debuts against Everton.

Tottenham Hotspur - Toby Alderweireld, Harry Winks and Danny Rose all returned to the starting line-up after lengthy absences through injury as Spurs beat Newport County in their FA Cup fourth round replay. Toby Alderweireld is the only player unlikely to start for Spurs in the Northern London derby against Arsenal after picking a hamstring injury.

Arsenal - After a goalscoring debut against Everton, new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is likely to continue up top for Arsenal, with fellow new boy Henrikh Mkhitaryan also set to continue after his first start in that game. Petr Cech and Nacho Monreal picked up knocks in the 5-1 rout of Everton last weekend. But the duo have been declared fit.

Tottenham - It is now 11 games unbeaten in all competitions for Tottenham Hotspur, after they saw off League Two Newport County in their FA Cup fourth round replay on Wednesday. That 2-0 win was their fourth consecutive win at home - during which they have not conceded - but their most recent league game was the controversial 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield, when Harry Kane’s stoppage-time penalty snatched a draw for Spurs.

Arsenal have won three of their last five matches in all competitions, but they are yet to win away from home in 2018. Their last two away games saw them suffer defeats - 3-1 at Swansea after a 2-1 loss at Bournemouth - but they bounced back from their most recent set-back in style last Saturday with a 5-1 thrashing of Everton.

Arsenal 4-2-3-1 football formation

  • This will be the 195th North London derby, with Arsenal boasting the better historical record: 81 wins to Tottenham's 62 with 51 draws.
  • The 2-0 win at the Emirates in November was Arsenal’s first win in this fixture in five attempts, however - and only their second in the last eight matches - thanks to first-half goals by Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez.
  • Their last meeting at White Hart Lane finished in a 2-0 Spurs victory, but they have not previously met at Wembley in its current guise.
  • Both teams have scored in six of last eight North London derbies.

Tottenham 0-2 Arsena  —   As for the outcome, Spurs' clean-sheet run at home and unbeaten run may come to an end against the Gunners' new-and-improved attacking line-up. So, I’ll stick with Arsenal who thrashed Everton last week.
