Pogba Plays Down Mourinho Issues And Rumours Of Man United Exit

When asked about the status of his relationship with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, Paul Pogba said that nothing had changed between the pair.
After United ended their 2017/18 season in disappointment with a 1-0 FA Cup Final defeat to Chelsea on Saturday , Pogba's mixed performances throughout the campaign have raised questions over his morale.

In an interview with French paper Canal+, the Frenchman opened up about his relationship with Mourinho and about the difficult moments this year when he was stuck on the bench.
The 25-year-old said: "These are moments where I wasn't playing, I was on the bench. We talked about it a lot.

"People thought that it wasn't going well, but a coach and a player do not have to be best friends, we don't have to go out to eat together. I had small hangups as well...football is a mental game.

" He put me on the bench, I respond on the pitch, I give my all every time."
Pogba also played down reports of an imminent transfer from Man United to Paris Saint-Germain - but did suggest he would like to play for the French club at some stage in his career.
"My presence at the Eiffel Tower has nothing to do with PSG," he added.

"Why not one day tread the lawn of the Parc des Princes? It's a beautiful stadium.

"I cannot look far. I'm sure, contractually, to stay at Manchester United."
